The Traditional Wood Plastic Composite Deck Board

Our traditional WPC decking is regarded as the original, or phase 1 enhancement of timber alternatives. The blend of plastic and timber equips the products with a low water absorption rate and in turn, makes it hardier than timber. Just because it’s the original, don’t assume that we stopped improving, in fact, we work to continuously to improve both the aesthetics and the performance of this product.

Installing the Composite Planks

With the deck frame reinforced, you can install the composite planks with confidence. Lay the planks tightly together and ensure that they are all evenly placed by checking them with a square. Drill two screws side-by-side every 16 to 24 inches along each plank. If you need to abut any planks to make up for length, the screws should be about 4 inches from the butting joint. If necessary, cut notches to fit the boards around existing rail posts. Always use treated screws with decks to prevent oxidization.

How to Build a Bench Out of Decking Boards

Place the four 1-by-4-by-48-inch boards parallel to each other 1/4-inch apart on a work surface. These are the seat boards. Place the 1-by-4-by-16-3/4-inch boards across the seat boards so that they are perpendicular to them. These are the crosspieces. The outside edge of the crosspieces should be 12 inches from the ends of the seat boards.

Place one 4-by-4-by-26-inch post on the inside corners of the table top assembly. Drive screws through the outside of the box assembly into the post. Use four screws per joint.
